it is now almost a year, and finally i found out how this could be done. you won't believe how simple and easy it is.

but seriously what's the best way to digitize our old tapes and convert them to mp3s ?
WITHOUT adapter !!

it's simple
you need:

1- regular tape recorder.
2- audio cable
3- your mac (Snow Leopard)


steps:

put on head of the cable in the recorder into "headphone jack".
the other head will go into "line-in" in your mac
open QuickTime player
fine file select -- New audio recording
change the microphone source to Line-in






press record
press play .

and you are DONE!
